Since winning the Impact Wrestling World Championship, Eddie Edwards has been the fighting champion he promised to be with an open challenge to anyone that wants to take a shot.
So far, he’s faced some of the top talent in the promotion and stood tall each time. It’s hard to figure out who else he’ll face now that he’s defeated Trey Miguel, Sami Callihan, and Brian Myers.
The obvious upcoming opponent is Eric Young, but we’re thinking they’ll meet at the next pay-per-view, but it would also be a great addition to Emergence Night Two.
If this does happen tonight, we think it’ll be a decision Impact Wrestling will regret in the vein of Goldberg defeated Hulk Hogan for the WCW championship on Nitro instead of the following pay-per-view.
Does this mean Eric Young won’t put in an appearance? Not at all. In fact, we’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t appear.
Like previously, we think he’ll pop in during or after the match to distract and infuriate Edwards.
As for who Edwards will face, we’re expecting RVD to take his shot.
This will put Rob Van Dam in the spotlight for a bit, and also give Sami Callihan the chance to ambush him again like her did on Locker Room Talk.
Plus, it’d tie them into a possible feud for the Impact World Championship.
Who do you think Edwards will face at Emergence Night Two?
EC3 challenges Moose
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTt4oXbAf3g&t=13s
EC3’s return has been an interesting one as he’s been focused on controlling his own narrative and is intent on destroying his past, which is the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and ties to it.
To that end, he has stated he’s not trying to play mind games with Moose, but we have to call that one out.
He’s obviously gone above and beyond to torment Moose by playing his music, appearing here and there, and even attacking Moose twice in the ring after a match.
EC3 topped all of those last week after he laid Moose out following his match with Trey Miguel and stole Moose’s prized TNA championship belt.
Impact Wrestling has teased that EC3 will tell us why he stole the belt and the reason behind his actions overall.
We expect him to call out Moose for bringing the TNA championship out of mothballs, and Moose will respond.
The question is will Moose and EC3 get into it tonight, or will they continue setting things up for the next couple of weeks?
