Impact Wrestling is continuing their Emergence event tonight with Night Two, and it’s got matches that are expected to rival or even surpass those from Night One last week,
One of those is a historic first, as Deonna Purrazzo will defend her Knockouts Championship against former champion Jordynn Grace.
Rematch
This is a rematch of their classic confrontation last month at Slammiversary when Purrazzo defeated Grace by submission to with the championship.
Purrazzo joined Impact Wrestling shortly before Slammiversayr, and wasted no time in showing her skills when she won her first match back in under five minutes.

But it was her attacks on Jordynne Grace that set the stage for Slammiversary.
By softening Grace’s arm up, it gave her an edge when they faced off. Purrazzo’s win came curtesy of her Fujiwara Armbar that seemed to badly injure Grace.
It’d taken a couple of weeks, but Grace appeared and attacked Purrazzo, setting up this rematch that’s bound to be a classic.
Ironman rules
Ironman matches are some of the most entertaining kind when done right.
Ironman matches have a set time limit, 30 minutes in this case, during which time the competitors try to pin or submit their opponent more times than they’re pinned or submitted.
Of course, disqualifications and countouts count as well, so there are a myriad of potential endings here.
For us, what makes these matches great are when they come down to the wire and there hasn’t been a victory yet.
It adds to the suspense and drama and when the pinfall or submission finally does happen, it makes it extra special.
However, over the years they tend to be more of a race for a top score than anything else.
In our opinion, that takes away from what makes these matches special. While fast pinfalls make sense on some level, the notion that a competitor wouldn’t mind dropping a loss a handful of times feels off.
And the winner is…
This is a tough one to call as both have different strengths and weaknesses, but we think Jordynn Grace will pull out the win and become Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion again.
Purrazzo is the Virtuosa, but she hasn’t been able to prep Grace’s arm before this match, so that gives Grace a bit of an edge.
With that being said, Grace’s arm is most likely still sore as she wore a brace a couple of weeks back, but we don’t think that’ll be enough for Purrazzo to take advantage of it.
Purrazzo will get a fall or two and lose by one. We’re calling the final 2 falls to 1, or 3 to 2.
