What Is Next For Hangman Page In AEW?
Last night, The Elite shrunk once again, and it’s going to make things complicated. During the Tag Team Gauntlet match, Hangman Page would make a choice, and would cost The Young Bucks their match against Best Friends. He prevented the Meltzer Driver, and let a roll up happen.
Later in the night, The Young Bucks would confront their former friend, and with a heavy heart? Hangman Page would be removed from The Elite. Now The Elite only consists of The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, with Cody Rhodes having distanced himself and Marty Scurll never rejoining them in AEW.
With Hangman Page still the tag team partner of Kenny Omega, with them holding the AEW Tag Team Championships, what will come next for Hangman Page?
FTR Might Be The Favorites To Win At All Out
FTR would win the gauntlet match, and are going to face Hangman Page & Kenny Omega at All Out for the AEW Tag Team Champions. With the rift between Hangman Page & Kenny Omega growing even further, and FTR getting closer to Page.
With Page officially kicked out of The Elite, he’s likely to try to buddy up even more with FTR & their new manager, Tully Blanchard. This might not help him either though, as they might have the best intentions for him.
Hangman Page Was Used As A Pawn In Their Game
The running theory as to why Hangman Page stopped The Young Bucks from advancing in the gauntlet match was because of FTR getting in his head. They made him feel like if The Young Bucks get another match with Page & Omega, Omega will actually follow through with the triple superkick this time, or that The Young Bucks winning would wash away all his accomplishments.
Page has always been an outsider within The Elite, and doubts have been creeping into his mind for most of 2020. FTR played on these perfectly, and it’s unlikely All Out ends well for Page.
He could very well just join this new Four Horseman like stable come All Out, but it’s more likely that FTR betrays him and Omega leaves him.
