Heel turns are one of the best parts when it comes to watching professional wrestling, and we expect a fun one to start/continue tonight on WWE Raw.
What makes this even more fun is that it’ll involve the old divide and conquer tactic used to separate a tag team.
Granted, we’re not a fan of tag teams constantly being ripped apart, but what can you do?
Alexander turns on Ricochet
Cedric Alexander and Ricochet have created a fun tag team we really enjoy watching, but as we hinted at above, the WWE has often created tag teams to pull them apart to create drama.
And this one will be no different.
This pairing have become a fan favorite despite not winning a championship yet.
Still, that doesn’t mean they won’t be fun to turn on each other, right? Kinda reminds us of the Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty).
As is often the case, this will be caused by a third party looking to increase their powerbase, and that would be MVP.
MVP has made several overtures to Alexander over the last few weeks, seemingly never giving up on recruiting Alexander into the Hurt Business.
It’s no surprise as Alexander is an exciting talent, and by singling him out it’ll also help to stroke Alexander’s ego in the storyline and make him feel more important than Ricochet.
Of course, Ricochet having him sit out of a match after Bobby Lashley locked Alexander in his Lashley Lock and MVP hissing in his ear didn’t help.
We expect it to come to a head tonight during a probable tag team match against Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
We expect MVP to be outside the ring doing his thing and adding to the tension with barbs and jabs.
We think he’ll turn on Ricochet during or after the match.
If he does so during, it’ll leave no doubt of his intentions, but we think things will go a little differently.
We’re thinking that they’ll lose the match due to a miscommunication and Ricochet will hit him by accident or not tag in or out during an important moment that’ll cost them the match.
As this will probably follow a pre-match discussion with MVP, it feels most likely to be the result.
The Hurt Business will then gang up on Ricochet and Alexander will be encouraged to take out his frustrations on Ricochet, which he will and the deal will be done.
