Bayley and Sasha Banks came to the ring for some of their typical ranting, er, promoting.
Corey Graves started the interview and welcomed to the WWE Thunderdome and asked if they’re splitting up.
They answered in unison: “No!”
Graves then brought up their matches against Asuka, and how she could leave SummerSlam as a double champion, but Bayley interrupted him and said she and Banks were the only ones capable of carrying two belts.
Graves then brought his heel character by pointing out how Asuka defeated them both recently, and Banks challenged him by accusing him of trying to stir the pot.
Graves then pointed out how Bayley seemed all too happy to do the heavy lifting by facing Asuka first at SummerSlam.
Bayley responded that it was just a suggestion, to which Banks asked her if Bayley were volunteering her again.
Graves tried to stir it up, but Bayley cut it all off, but was interrupted by Naomi.
Naomi offer to help them handle the situation by facing both Banks and Bayley tonight.
They accepted, so Naomi asked which one wants to go first.
Graves stepped in and offered a suggestion that they could do a Beat the Clock Challenge.
Naomi liked that and asked who wants to go first. She then dropkicked both of her opponents out of the ring.
Beat the Clock Challenge Round One – Naomi vs. Sasha Banks
It Started with a quick tackle by Banks and a pin attempt, but Naomi kicked out, then rolled Banks up for a near pin.
Naomi locked in a full nelson and dropped her for a near oinfall.
Naomi kept her locked on a leg scissors and tried a couple more pin attempts.
Naomi ducked a clothesline, then flipped Banks over the top rope and out to the floor.
Naomi then hit with a crossbody over the ropes.
Banks caught her int eh ring and hung her up in the ropes for a double knee to the midsection, followed by a couple of pin attempts by Banks.
Banks locked in a reverse chin lock to try to win by submission, but Naomi fought out of it, the hit with a chin breaker off the ropes.
Banks rolled through a crossbody off the top rope for a near pinfall, but Naomi kicked out.
Naomi then hung Banks up on the ropes and hit with a springboard kick for a near poinfall.
Banks then tried to roll up Naomi, but Naomi kicked out.
Banks countered a rollup attempt into the Bank Statement and Namoi taped out at 3:39.
Beat the Clock Challenge Round Two – Bayley vs. Naomi
Bayley wasted no time in attacking Naomi, but the referee forced her to back off.
Bayley kicked and hammered on Naomi as soon as the bell rang for a near pinfall.
Bayley then hit with a suplex for another near pinfall.
Bayley kept stomping on Naomi and threw her into the corner, then snapmared her over for another ear pinfall.
Bayley hit with a running, siding clothesline for another near pinfall.
Naomi fought back and drove Bayley into the corner, but Bayley caught her with a clothesline coming out of the corner, and nearly had a pinfall,
Bayley came off the ropes, and Naomi deflected her knee strike, then hit with a Rear View for the win at 1:44 ensuring Bayley will face Asuka first at SummerSlam.
After the match, Asuka came out and did a celebratory strut on the ramp while throwing a few choice words at Banks and Bayley.
She promised she will be the Empress of Every Title, and Banks charged her.
Asuka took Banks out on the ramp, then charged Bayley in the ring and sent her running.
Bayley went back for her belt, but left Banks’ belt in the ring and ran past a prone Banks on the ramp.
Looks like WWE Smackdown Results and Recap and fans everywhere are about to get the Banks-Bayley feud we’ve been waiting for.
