Dabba-Kato is the lone undefeated member of Raw Underground, so it was only a matter of time until he faced someone like Braun Strowman on WWE Raw.
Stowman’s appearance last week was a pleasant surprise, but maybe it shouldn’t have been.
Dabba-Kato has been the quiet focus of attention among the Raw Underground group as he’s been dominant against whoever he faced.
Strowman is one of the few wrestlers that match up with him size and potentially power-wise, so this is a near perfect match.
Many believe that Raw Underground is perfect for Strowman, and we agree. While he’s shown some awesome skills during his feud with Bray Wyatt, that’s done and he’s been MIA for the most part.
This gives him a storyline to keep him on television, and also removes a heel from Smackdown while he’s putting Dabba-Kato over.
And Strowman’s the perfect one to face Dabba-Kato because of his size and accomplishments, but we’re hoping this isn’t the beginning of Strowman’s fall back to the mid card ranks.
He’s too good to be used to put fresh talent over with loss after loss, so hopefully, they’ll allow him and Dabba-Kato to have some awesome confrontations that will push both men to the extreme.
If they’re hard fought contests, then the winner and loser won’t be as important, but we think it’d serve everyone if Strowman comes out on top and gives Dabba-Kato something to strive for.
Basically, build him up instead of shove him into the spotlight like Keith Lee.
We expect this confrontation to run the gambit tonight like Kevin Owens and Aleister Black did previously.
It makes sense that two monsters would have a slugfest instead of a five minute exchange of blows.
An extended confrontation would show how powerful they are and how much they can endure, and that would go a long way into putting Dabba-Kato over
In fact, it won’t surprise is of Retribution pays Raw Underground a visit since they’ve hit everywhere else.
This would be a typical WWE move and would solve the problem of picking a winner or loser.
It may also bring a few groans from fans that have grown tired of the new group and want to see something more out of them.
There’s little doubt he’s going to be the face of Raw Underground and this match is meant to legitimize him, and this is where it’s going to get interesting.
With Raw Underground attempting to bring a sense of reality to sports entertainment, how long until we see it as a fourth brand with MMA fighters joining in?
Things on WWE Raw are looking interesting.
