In what is a pivotal night for G1 Climax 30 B Block. IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ and Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) leader Tetsuya Naito has the opportunity to extend his lead, while a slew of others attempt to catch him.
Tanahashi (Hontai) v Evil (Bullet Club)
Former eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, G1 Climax 17, G1 Climax 25, and G1 Climax 28 winner Hiroshi Tanahashi faces former IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ and Bullet Club member Evil in the marquee match of G1 Climax 30 Night 12.
Tanahashi defeated another Bullet Club member, the former NEVER Openweight Champion and New Japan Cup USA 2020 winner Kenta on G1 Climax 30 Night 10.
Evil was able to defeat former two-time IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Juice Robinson on the same night.
Evil’s manager Dick Togo may play a huge role in deciding who grabs victory. A win for either puts them in a great position to reach the G1 Climax 30 Finals.
Naito (LIJ) v Juice (Hontai)
Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) leader and current IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ Tetsuya Naito faces former two-time IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Juice Robinson in the headline match of G1 Climax 30 Night 12.
Naito is coming off a victory over CHAOS member Yoshi-Hashi during G1 Climax 30 Night 10, while Juice fell to Bullet Club member Evil on the same night.
A victory for Juice puts him amid conversation to make the finals, while a loss makes his path extremely difficult.
Kenta (Bullet Club) v Sanada (LIJ)
Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) member Sanada is coming off a G1 Climax 30 Night 10 victory over former four-time Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr.
Bullet Club member Kenta is coming off a defeat to Hiroshi Tanahashi. A loss for either will likely make it impossible for either to advance to the G1 Climax 30 Finals as the B Block winner.
Sanada is riding momentum after two straight victories and will need to overcome Kenta’s dangerous striking game.
ZSJ (Suzuki-Gun) v Yano (CHAOS)
Former four-time Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion and Suzuki-Gun member Zack Sabre Jr is coming off a tough night 10 defeat to rival Sanada.
His opponent, the current KOPW (presumably King of Pro Wrestling) titleholder and CHAOS member is on a two-match losing streak, with his latest result being an 18-second defeat to fellow CHAOS member Hirooki Goto.
Goto (CHAOS) v Yoshi-Hashi (CHAOS)
Former two-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, G1 Climax 18 winner and CHAOS member Hirooki Goto faces fellow CHAOS member Yoshi-Hashi in the first tournament match of the event.
They are two-thirds of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions and are wrestling in only their second singles match. Goto won their first bout during G1 Climax 27.
Goto needs the victory to keep his finals hopes alive, while Yoshi-Hashi is looking to spoil the tournament for his partner and unit mate.
