The final night of the WWE Draft concluded last night, which means that we now know the two rosters of Raw and SmackDown going forward. The brand that won the draft will be debated amongst fans online.
But it’s fair to say that there are a number of fresh rivalries that we can see on the red brand following the draft. These are some of the matches that we will be looking forward to in the future months.
WWE News: Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles
AJ Styles was drafted to Raw on night one of the draft, and immediately fans will be looking forward to seeing Styles back in the main event scene. There are a number of contenders for the WWE Championship following the draft, with Braun Strowman, The Fiend and Matt Riddle also on the red brand now. However, the best match that McIntyre could get from the superstars on the red brand now will come from AJ Styles.
Styles is certainly due a world championship match at some point in the future, and it will make for compelling viewing for fans to see Styles and McIntyre share the ring together. It could easily be a match that could headline a major show this year, or possibly WrestleMania next year.
WWE News: Randy Orton vs Matt Riddle
Matt Riddle’s main roster career hasn’t really lived up to the hype to this point, and he is in desperate need of a rivalry that will be able to elevate him further up the card. There is no hotter talent to work with at present than Randy Orton, and the two of them could tell a very interesting and realistic story. Riddle could benefit an enormous amount from getting the rub off Orton, and it would be yet another storyline that fans will be engaged in with Orton this year.
It could be an interesting angle for the company to go down while they await Edge returning from injury to pick up his feud with Orton. Riddle’s idea to get involved with Orton could stem from his belief that he is the new legend killer.
WWE News: The New Day vs Hurt Business
The Hurt Business have been carrying Raw for the past couple of weeks, but they will no be joined on Monday’s by one of the most dominant tag teams in the WWE. The New Day doesn’t tend to have bad matches, and there could be an interesting story to be told between themselves and The Hurt Business.
