The countdown to the Survivor Series PPV is well underway, as the first members of Team Raw revealed this past Monday night. However, the opponents that will be taking on the superstars from the red brand are set to be revealed this week on SmackDown, as the first qualifying matches are set to take place. But, which superstars could we see step up to represent the blue brand?
WWE News: Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan could be among the superstars that form part of the Survivor Series team, after he made his Thunderdome debut last week on SmackDown.
There has been a tease that Bryan and Kevin Owens could be set to form a new tag team and the Survivor Series match could be used in that ongoing storyline. It’s not known yet whether they will create a team, or whether there is potential heel turn coming for Owens.
WWE News: Aleister Black
The stock of Aleister Black was pretty high earlier this year, as he was among the favourites to win the Money in the Bank ladder match. However, that didn’t materialise as the briefcase was instead won by Otis.
There has at least been more interest in Black over the past couple of months, as he has turned heel and has been engaged in a short rivalry with Owens. However, a spot in the Survivor Series match will give him another chance to shine.
WWE News: Seth Rollins
One of the most interesting storylines on WWE television over the past year has been that of Seth Rollins and the Mysterio family. It seems that their feud is effectively over now, as Rollins has instead turned his attentions to Murphy.
However, it is unlikely that the Messiah is set to pass up the opportunity of being a hero, and if asked, it is likely that he will be involved in the Survivor Series match this year.
WWE News: Dominik Mysterio
Dominik’s stock has been pretty high throughout this year, and he will likely be able to get another chance to shine in the Survivor Series match this year.
As we mentioned, his feud with Rollins looks to be over, which means that he may have his sights set on something fresh, and that could be representing the blue brand in the Survivor Series match in November.
