Chris Hero Is Not Done With Professional Wrestling

Earlier this year, when WWE was cutting out talent left and right, one of the men released was Kassius Ohno, better known as Chris Hero. However, after some self made promos online promoting his return to the ring, there was silence. He didn’t show up in AEW, Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor or MLW.

The hype would fade, his name would stop being brought up in conversations of who should challenge for the TNT Championship, who should be in the ROH Pure tournament, etc. It felt like maybe Chris Hero wasn’t coming back. However, he’d ensure to his fans that he wasn’t done, through a post on his subreddit /r/WrestlingGenius.

Chris Hero Will Be Back When The Time Is Right

Around the time he was released from WWE for the second time, he’d create the subreddit as an outlet for the wrestling encyclopedia he calls a brain. It would become a place to share and discuss the ins and outs of favorite matches for everyone, with Hero himself popping in to say hello and keep conversations going. It’s had its ups and downs, some series of inactivity, but today Hero popped in to say hello.

He mainly wanted some recommendations on content to boost the subreddit, but a message at the end confirmed the burning question.

“Oh and, before anyone asks or infers, I am far from done wrestling. If I wanted to hang it up and coach/produce I could have a job tomorrow. I’ve turned down a number of companies in the last 6 months- not because they’ve been terrible offers or anything but because I’m just not ready. I will come back when the circumstances and situations are right. Trust me, it *kills* me to not be out there doing what I love. The time will come and when it does it will be spectacular. In the meantime, I appreciate all of your patience. Take care & stay safe!”

It seems like Hero is doing his best to stay out of the mix until things are safe, meaning that we might need to wait a while. Do you think a Chris Hero return will be worth the wait?
