It was only a matter of time before Ring of Honor did what was best for business. For months now, indy wrestling sensation Danhausen has been rallying his fans to annoy ROH until they finally sign him. He even got a Cameo from Gilbert Godfrey in support of him getting a job with ROH!
Now it’s been made official, Danhausen will be signed to an ROH contract… with a catch.
Danhausen Has To Win A Match In ROH By The End Of The Year
If Danhausen wants a job, he simply needs to win a match in the company before the new year. This gives him two months to get that win, or it’s back to campaigning on Twitter. It’s a classic storyline, having to show your worth in the ring to earn a proper contract.
Danhausen has proven to have as much charisma as anyone, but can he hang in the ring with some of the best wrestlers in the world today? That’s the question this poses for him.
Being Pulled From Recent Tapings Might Make This Hard
Sadly for Danhausen, this was made difficult. Like many others who appeared during the recent GCW Collective shows, Danhausen was pulled from ROH events due to multiple COVID-19 cases coming out of those shows. He’d comment on this while he was on the WrestleInc Daily Podcast.
“Well, Danhausen, he’s tested negative twice, but to be safe, Ring of Hausen sent Danhausen home just to be safe, and then I was still negative. So here we are, but that’s the risk that comes with having to go to work.”
He was already intending to do less indie shows, as each one means leaving Canada and having the quarantine for two weeks when he gets back. Doing a big batch taping like with ROH is always a bit easier for these situations, and that will be what Danhausen prefers going forward. This is what led him to the GCW Collective, as at the time it was the most shows he could get in for a single trip.
