It was another exciting edition of Monday Night Raw last night, as the attention begins to shift towards the hotly anticipated Survivor Series event. All of the biggest stars on the red brand were involved in the action last night, which made for an entertaining show. But, what did fans learn from the action on Raw last night?
WWE News: The Hurt Business Could Soon Be Tag Champions
One of the biggest matches of the night saw The New Day face off against The Hurt Business. The tag team division has been pretty underwhelming for a number of weeks, which made this match an enjoyable and much-needed affair. The Hurt Business defeated The New Day in the non-title match, which could indicate that the faction led by MVP could soon be vying for the tag team championships at some point. It would be a more logical scenario for fans, as Hurt Business against the Street Profits looks to be an easier story to tell going into Survivor Series.
WWE News: Challengers Coming From Everywhere For Orton
Randy Orton’s WWE Championship reign could already be in huge danger judging by the number of contenders that the viper is coming up against on Raw. The show opened with Alexa Bliss interrupting Orton, before The Fiend’s music hit. However, it was Drew McIntyre that emerged to attack Orton, before The Miz and John Morrison scurried into the ring. The Miz looked to cash in but then he was attacked by McIntyre. It would seem that there will be no rest for Orton over the next couple of weeks.
WWE News: Strowman Joins Team Raw
There was an entertaining triple threat match on the show involving Braun Strowman, Sheamus and Keith Lee, which resulted in Strowman earning a spot on Team Raw for Survivor Series. The most enjoyable aspect of the match was AJ Styles on the outside, who was also appointed captain of the team for the PPV. All hell soon broke loose as Sheamus delivered a Brogue Kick to Strowman. It never seemed likely that the team would be on the same page this early before Survivor Series.
WWE News: Lana Through The Table Again
For the sixth week in a row, Lana was sent through the table by Nia Jax. It would seem as though the WWE are trying their best to get Lana across as a face, but it doesn’t seem as though it is going to happen. It will be interesting to see whether they can make up since they will be on the same team in a few weeks time. But, there is still a possibility that Lana could be replaced by another superstar before the big match.
