It may still be a few months away, but the betting markets for the outright winners of the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches have already been open for nearly ten months.
The odds are typically true when it comes to the Royal Rumble matches, as they correctly predicted that Drew McIntyre and Charlotte Flair would win the respective matches last year. However, which superstar do the odds suggest will be in the best position to win the women’s Royal Rumble match in January?
WWE News: Bayley Listed As Clear Favourite
The former SmackDown women’s champion is currently the heavy favourite in the betting to win the Royal Rumble in 2021, as Bayley is the clear favourite. Bayley’s record breaking reign as the title holder on the blue brand was recently brought to an end by Sasha Banks at the Hell in a Cell PPV, and the odds would suggest that there are already plans to have the two superstars feud again later in the year.
There is no denying that fans were hoping for a Banks vs Bayley match at WrestleMania next year, but many predicted that would be the night when Banks finally won the title from her former best friend. However, Banks’ win means that it is unlikely to happen now, and that is highlighted by Banks being valued at 10/1 in the betting for the Royal Rumble match. However, there are a number of other stars in the betting that could have a realistic chance at being the winner.
WWE News: Other Potential Winners
Second favourite in the betting is Alexa Bliss, who has been doing some of the best work of her career alongside The Fiend on Raw. It certainly isn’t hard to see that the main match that could be made in the women’s division on Raw at present is Bliss against Asuka, which would mean Bliss winning the Rumble would make sense all round.
Bianca Belair is also among the favourites, while Rhea Ripley is the join third favourite with Belair, as it has been rumoured that the former NXT Women’s champion could be set for a call-up. Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch are among the favourites, as they are both valued at 7/1 and 10/1 respectively, but it’s fair to say that nobody really knows what either of their long-term plans are. Other long shots in the betting include Paige, Eva Marie and Stephanie McMahon, who are valued at 16/1, 25/1 and 150/1 respectively.
