Backstage Kevin Owens approached Jey Uso and joked with him about getting Roman Reigns’ coffee, and Jey took it personally.
Owens calmed him down and said he just wanted to check on him since they’re partners at Survivor Series, then left him be with Jey burning a hole in him.
Jay can’t speak for himself
Kayla Braxton asked Jey Uso about last week and a recap clip played about Reigns’ forcing him to quit, and then his attack on Daniel Bryan.
She pointed out that it seems that if he doesn’t do what Reigns wants him to then he’s out of the family.
Jey asked if everyone’s trying to be funny or something, and then Paul Heyman intervened and asked Braxton if Roman Reigns authorized the interview.
He said it was a rhetorical questions and said no he did not.
She then said it looks like Heyman has a better place in the family than he does, which he didn’t take well.
It then switched to Rey Mysterio trying to call Aalyah Mysterio when Dominik came over and told him his match was next.
He sent Dominik to get his gear, and when he left King Corbin attacked Mysterio and beat him down before running off when Dominik came back.
Reigns lays down the law
Back from commercial, Heyman tried to get Jey to understand that he does respect what Jey’s trying to do, but he’s got to get permission from Reigns to do an interview.
Jey wanted to talk to Reigns, and Heyman said he’d bring Reigns to him when he’s ready and Jey did not look pleased.
Reigns then came out and asked him why he was talking to Braxton and if he was telling stories.
Reigns said if he wants to do something like that he needed to talk to him or Heyman.
Reigns then asked about Owens and Jey said he was just making dumb jokes, but Reigns said he was disrespecting him and their family and asked if he’s going to let it slide
Jey said he’d handle it.
Reigns then asked Heyman if he knew about it and Heyman said he found out about it while it was happening.
Reigns told him he’s supposed to know this ahead of time so he doesn’t have to deal with it and told Heyman to find Adam Pearce so they could take care of the Kayla Braxton problem tonight.
This was an interesting exchange, and it makes WWE Smackdown Results wonder how long before Jey breaks and attacks Reigns again.
