There was an engaging episode of Raw last night, with many of the biggest stars involved as we build for the upcoming TLC PPV. There was an interesting final match on the card between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton, while more confusion was added into the WWE Championship picture. But, what did we learn from the eventful night of action on the red brand?
WWE News: Possible Drew McIntyre/Sheamus Feud
One of the most interesting angles of the night focused on the friendship between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. The two superstars were involved in a handicap match against The Miz, John Morrison and AJ Styles during the show. They were beaten in that match after Sheamus hit McIntyre with his finisher by accident, before Styles was able to get the win and build momentum ahead of his WWE Championship match with McIntyre.
Sheamus and McIntyre clashed after the match, but the eventually ended up putting Pat Buck through a table before making up. However, it looks likely that there could be a rivalry between the two friends for the championship somewhere down the line.
WWE News: The New Day’s Championship In Danger
The New Day against The Hurt Business is just the rivalry that makes so much sense on Raw at present, as the team led by MVP has been one of the biggest stories throughout the year. Bobby Lashley continued his dominance by beating Jeff Hardy on Raw.
But there could be more gold around the waists of the Hurt Business soon enough, as Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin almost certainly look as though they will be getting another title opportunity soon. It seems like the right time for them to claim the gold, and it would see them enter the new year as the most formidable faction in the WWE.
WWE News: Orton/Wyatt Ends In Chaos
For the first time in nearly four years, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton clashed in a singles match. Fans will remember the feud that the pair had leading to Orton winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33.
However, this feud between Orton and The Fiend already looks more engaging than that rivalry was. Orton met Wyatt in the main event on Raw on Monday, and just as he looked as though he was going to pick up the win, the lights went out and The Fiend appeared. Orton was the star laying on the mat, as the show ended and it would be difficult to see anything different when they meet at TLC.
