When it comes to Rhea Ripley and the NXT roster, there isn’t anything left for her to really accomplish. She’s been the NXT UK Women’s Champion, NXT Women’s Champion and was the first NXT Champion to defend at Wrestlemania. Countless hard fought battles including cage matches, Last Woman Standing, and even two WarGames matches. She even has two Mae Young Classics under her belt!
Rhea Ripley has done it all in NXT, and now after a big loss to Raquel Gonzalez, it might be time for her to take RAW & Smackdown by storm. What is there for Rhea Ripley on the WWE main roster?
Unfinished Business With Charlotte Flair
There was just one thing that Rhea Ripley was never able to accomplish in NXT. That was beating Charlotte Flair. She lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Flair at Wrestlemania, only for Io Shirai to win the belt off Flair in a triple threat also including Ripley. After that, Charlotte left NXT, and even took a hiatus from WWE. Now, Flair is back and one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, but resides on Monday Night RAW.
This gives Rhea Ripley an instant feud when she makes her way to the main roster, and with Ripley vs. Flair having been such a good match? Few would argue that this match could be on a future Wrestlemania.
Rhea Ripley Could Be The Winner Of The 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble
Another thing that Rhea Ripley wants on her resume is a Royal Rumble win. There are currently only three women who can see they’ve won a female Royal Rumble, those being Asuka, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair. Ripley would love to get on that list, and to get a title shot at Wrestlemania as well.
Much like how Damien Priest was likely written off TV with his loss to Karrion Kross, Ripley has been on her way out for months. She’s faced off with some of her greatest rivals, before being put through the stage by the next dominant force in the NXT Women’s division. The 2021 Royal Rumble needs a lot of help to feel special without a crowd, and someone like Ripley winning could do that.
