At this point, it is nearly common knowledge that NXT was put on Wednesday to go up against AEW. With both AEW and NXT thinking about changing their air date due to the increase of views on days both had to change.
With AEW having mentioned that they are planning to have a second show in the works. There are only so many days in the week. With WWE having Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
It’s going to be hard for them to create a second show without going head to head with one of the biggest wrestling companies in the world. That constantly losing views and being criticized by fans for being broken and disappointing. This being the show that takes place on Monday and is Raw.
Monday Night Dynamite
Although the second name is rumoured to be Elevation after a recent AEW trademark. Monday Night Dynamite just has that ring to it, doesn’t it? Raw over the past years has become really third place after its shows.
With Smackdown coming second best to NXT. Smackdown is so good that it’s hard to think that it was done by the same people. With constraints uncluing to story blunders and boring feuds.
There is a lot to critegz on a weekly basis. This is proved that constraints lead to a fall in views. As of one point, only able to reach 1.441 million viewers on Monday Night Raw. With it being reported that from 2019 to 2020 Raw dropped by 30% of their viewers.
Making this a great time for AEW to strike when the iron is hot. With AEW only just over a year old and has gotten close to hitting a million. With it most likely hitting a million if not going up against NXT. It feels like it could either destroy or make Raw improve if they had a second show on Mondays.
Monday Night War remastered
Although Wednesdays has now been dubbed the Wednesday Night Wars. There was once a Monday Night War between WWE and WCW which ended with WWE winning. This could realistically happen against AEW.
At a time where Raw (WWE) is at its weakest. This could do one of two things. It could officially make AEW a top company with it destroying one of the longest running wrestling companies.
Or it could bring in some healthy competition. Making both Raw and AEW improve to new heights. It feels like AEW has just started but Raw seems to be on its last legs. Only change can make both brands better.
