The big question WWE Raw Preview has noticed being floated around for WWE Raw tonight is what happened between Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss to end the show last week.
While it appears we’re going to find out if Orton did indeed like Bliss on fire or if the Fiend returned to save her, it feels kinda moot.
We understand the ending was supposed to be serial-esc, but just like with McIntyre and Orton in the Hell in a Cell to close a show, it felt weak and pointless.
Randy lit the fire
Since WWE has fully embraced the cinematic opportunities the pandemic and the Thunderdome have given them, and we can’t blame them, it’s likely that we’ll be shown a clip of Bliss burning in the middle of the ring.
It’s something Orton would do in his current, and probably former incarnations as well.
And since USA has reportedly wanted darker and racier storylines that don’t involve mostly naked women or other fetishes from the Attitude Era, this is highly likely.
And without fans present it’d be easy enough to do like they did with Orton and the Fiend previously.
This will give Bliss the chance to come back as a supernatural being herself and be on par with the Fiend. These types are some of the best characters in Impact Wrestling and AEW at the moment.
It’ll also follow the supernatural/otherworldly storylines they previously used with the Undertaker and Kane storylines during the Attitude Era.
The Fiend and/or Boogeyman returned
Another likely outcome is Alexa Bliss disappeared from the ring when the lights went out and that’s why Orton was smiling.
The Fiend could’ve spirited her away or appeared in her place. It’d be the perfect counter to Orton’s threat and signify another huge break in his psychosis.
This idea is going to be a longshot, but the Boogeyman is still in great shape and would fit perfectly with the Fiend and Alexa Bliss.
He could return with the Fiend or to harken the Fiend’s return as if summoned by Orton and Bliss’ display. The Fiend could’ve found him while on his journeys after being burned. Easy peazy.
To be honest, this would be freaking awesome and WWE Raw Preview would so love to see something like this. Plus, they do have a history.
There’s plenty of possibilities for the two of them, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Until then, what do you think happened between Orton and Bliss?
