Two times now, Roman Reigns has beaten Kevin Owens to defend his WWE Universal Championship. This has taken heavy help from Jey Uso, but after a TLC match & Steel Cage match, Kevin Owens is still standing. After some help from acting WWE General Manager Adam Pearce, Owens gets one more chance, and this one is Last Man Standing rules. Can The Tribal Chief actually keep Kevin Owens down for the count?

    Battling In The ThunderDome Screens

They’d start throwing haymakers the second the bell rang. Reigns got a throat thrust and looked for the superman punch. Owens dodged and wanted the stunner, but took a Superman punch. He was back up at four, and hit a Pop Up Powerbomb, Reigns up at four. Those are two big moves early, and Reigns slipped outside with Owens fast behind, narrowly dodging a Samoan Drop, before being hit with the steel steps but got up at five.

Owens prevented another blow from the steps with a superkick, before slamming Reigns off the ThunderDomes screens. He’d grab the steps, and nail Reigns who landed on an equipment table. Owens was tossed through a table on the build, and Reigns wanted to do this again. They were brawling up in the virtual crowd, Reigns using a steel chair and the LED screens as weapons.

Climbing higher, Owens was sent over another set of screens, and grabbed a steel chair. He’d go after the legs of Reigns with the chair, making it harder to stand up. Reigns fought back, and they were close to the edge with only that table to break the fall. Owens hit a stunner, and Reigns teetered on the edge before hitting a Superman Punch, and throwing Kevin Owens to his doom.

Roman Reigns Tries Vehicular Assault, Kevin Owens Uses A Forklift

Owens would get back up by nine, and Reigns was shocked. They’d head deep into the ThunderDome, and find a training ring in the back of the arena. Owens was barely back to his feet, and Reigns drove in from off screen with a golf cart. Somehow, Owens was back up at nine and smacked a lunch tray over the head of Reigns before being dropped again.

Reigns was telling Owens to stay down for his own safety, but this only fired Owens up. He’d slam the heads off road cases, and hit a pop up powerbomb onto a very stiff announce table. Owens followed up with a frog splash off the crates, the table collapsing underneath. Reigns got back up at nine, and was thrown onto the ground before Owens grabbed a very small ladder and attacked Reigns with that.

Getting in on tonights vehicle theme, Owens got into a forklift, raised the palette and hit a Swanton Bomb through a table on Reigns. Reigns was broken, but showed life and reached his feet for a brief moment at nine to stay in this.

Kevin Owens Fights Until This Last Dying Breath

Reigns was on the escape, and Owens threw him into a tool box as they spilled into the Gorilla Position, but cut to a replay before we saw Vince. They’d spill onto the ramp, and Reigns was looking helpless. He would answer the ten count again, and hit a desperate superman punch.

Reigns put everything he had into a spear through the LED boards on the stage, Owens crashing through. Owens rolled off the stage to his feet at nine, a crafty move for sure. Reigns grabbed some handcuffs, and threw some punches at Owens. The cuffs were applied to Reigns, but Owens hit the Stunner before he was linked to Reigns. Owens handcuffed to the stage, and the count was started. The cuffs were low, and Reigns had to attack the referee at nine to survive.

A low blow from Reigns dropped Owens, and gave Heyman time to come free him. A new referee started the count on both men, but they were both at least on one foot. Owens cuffed him in almost too good, but Heyman got him free. Reigns applied that Guillotine Choke on Owens, and this late in the fight it was enough to choke him out. Owens fought to his last dying breath, and Reigns was still ready for a spear just in case. Reigns retains.

Kevin Owens & Roman Reigns have had some excellent matches, but this was their best yet. This trilogy saw both men raise their intensity, and if this is how the feud ends, it was amazing. They truly threw everything at each other, and gave us a Last Man Standing Match for the ages. Match Rating: 4.5/5 (**** ½)
