There is no shortage of mega boxing bouts to make this year, and it would appear as though negotiations for one of the biggest middleweights bouts that can be made are in their final discussions.
Eddie Hearn revealed on social media that a bout between Liam Williams and Demetrius Andrade is agreed, and an announcement regarding the fight is expected to be officially announced very soon. It was also announced that the fight will likely take place in April time, and will be at a venue in the United States.

The fight has been a bout that fans have been looking forward to for a very long time, as Williams has been the mandatory challenger for the WBO belt for an extended period of time. The Welshman has excelled since turning professional, and won the British middleweight title in 2018 after beating Joe Mullender. He later dropped the title to search for the world title after reclaiming his title in his most recent bout against Andrew Robinson in October last year.
It was a rocky start to his professional career, as he was beaten in back-to-back fights against Liam Smith in 2017, but since those defeats he has been breathtaking. After entering the middleweight division, he has won all seven fights that he has been involved in, with all of these bouts being won inside the distance. During his career, he has fought on 26 occasions, and has won on 23 occasions, with one of his fights ending in a draw. Eighteen of his career wins have been won by knockout, while he has won five times by decision.

However, there is no mistaking that this will be a massive step up in quality for Williams in opponent, as Andrade has been unbeaten throughout his professional career. He is a fighter that has won multiple world titles throughout his career, including the light middleweight WBO gold that he carried between 2013 and 2017.
He has been the WBO middleweight champion since 2018, after winning belt by unanimous decision against Walter Kautondokwa in Boston. Since then, he has successfully defended his championship on three occasions. His most recent defeat came at the end of January, as he beat Luke Keeler by TKO in the ninth round in Miami.
