In 2020, few wrestlers took advantage of the power of social media quite like WARHORSE. While he was normally seen mainly on indy shows like Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and Warrior Wrestling, WARHORSE was able to gather a heavy social media following. It got so big in fact, that since this was during Cody Rhodes TNT Open Challenge reign, meaning that every week All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was spammed with people begging WARHORSE to be next for a shot.
He got his shot to become TNT, but not an AEW contract. A lackluster performance in his biggest match ever really dulled his social media hype, with many truly just seeing him as a joke wrestler, a wanna-be ultimate warrior. However, WARHORSE is still tearing it up in the ring, and a good friend of his recently got in with Ring Of Honor (ROH). Could that be the place for him?
WARHORSE Would Suit Ring Of Honor As The Build Their Roster
When you look at the Ring Of Honor roster, you see two things. Very solid wrestlers, and some well defined characters. Combine this with a booking style that helps to focus on strengths and hide flaws. They might have a pure wrestling focus at the moment with The Foundation being one of the top factions in the company, but we still have characters like Danhausen, Delirious & Vincent floating around.
Danhausen in particular is a good sign that someone like WARHORSE can work in the company, especially since WARHORSE is much better in the ring than Danhausen is. That being said, they are also a steady tag team, something with ROH lacks at the moment, after the breakup of The Bouncers. WARHAUSEN would fit in well as an undercard tag team, while also being able to take the fight to teams like OGK & The Briscoes if given the chance.
ROH are currently in a rebuilding stage. They’re making sure to lock down top names like Jay Lethal, RUSH, Dragon Lee, Mark Haskins and more, while bringing in new names like Sledge and O’Shay Edwards.
