After last week, we have a name for the mysterious figure behind Xia Li & Boa. This is Tian Sha, pulling from chinese folklore. Mei Ying was trained by a dragon to replace her fear with power through vicious trials, and become Tian Sha.
It’s implied that whoever is behind Xia Li & Boa is the latest incarnation of this Tian Sha, but either way, they’ve struck fear into the NXT roster. Sometimes a veil of mythology is all that it takes, just look at The Demon from Finn Balor.
Tonight, Xia Li enters the ring once again, and considering her last match went all of 24 seconds? Her opponent tonight better have some extra ice waiting in the back.
Xia Li Made Quick Work Of Cora Jade, Is Confronted By Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter
Before the bell, Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter were out to raise concerns about the changes of Xia Li. Cora Jade would attack Li from behind, and knock Li down to the mat. Jade would be thrown throat first into the middle rope, nailed with a spin kick and this one was through.
After the bell, Xi Li would follow up by stomping Jade out of the ring. Li would be confronted by Catanzaro & Carter, with Catanzaro talking to Li and Carter getting in the face of Tian Sha. As Carter would preach to Sha that this isn’t who Li is, and wanting to know what was done to her? Li would attack from behind and throw Carter right off the stage.
Tian Sha Wants More Violence
Li apologized to Sha, who proceeded to choke the life out of Boa until Li would demolish Catanzaro. It didn’t take long to do this, and Sha seemed to accept this. We very well could see Tian Sha get into the ring very soon, maybe alongside Li to face both Catanzaro & Carter.
