Nina Samuels has been obsessed with Xia Brookside over the past few months, ever since Brookside was able to look past the acting skills of Samuels, who faked an injury during a match. Tonight, they lock up once again, to hopefully finally put this issue to bed. They’re both potentially future NXT UK Women’s Champions, and a win in this division will always serve to go a long way.
Nina Samuels Talks Some Trash
Samuels would tell Brookside it’s not too late to just accept her role, and carry her bags. This quickly sent the second generation wrestler into a fury, going for a headlock takeover before being driven into the corner. Samuels went for a running big boot, but Brookside was able to dodge before looking for a German Suplex.
A leg trip put Samuels down, before Brookside went for a Sunset Flip, getting a two count. She’d follow up with a good wrist lock, and crank the arm before being thrown off the ropes and have her headscissors attempt turned into a reverse suplex.
Samuels retook control, stomping Brookside ruthlessly in the corner before looking for a scoop slam. Brookside rolled out and got a pinfall attempt, only to end up in a sleeper hold on the mat, which was moved into a neck crank. Once again, Samuels would say a Brookside is only good for carrying bags, and that just fired her up.
Fly With Xia Brookside
Some slaps from Brookside were pretty ineffective, with her being shoved into the corner and almost hit with a Samoan Drop. Brookside slipped off the shoulders and rocked Samuels with some heavy forearms. A big headscissor takedown sent Samuels face first into the corner, before Brookside hit the Broken Wings double knee strike. A running facebuster got a near fall, before Brookside went for the running dropkick.
She’d be tripped while moving, and landed throat first on the middle rope, but came back quick with a dropkick which sent Samuels to the outside. Brookside followed her and hit a hurricanrana off the apron, only to be kicked into the ring post. Samuels grabbed some of her bags from ringside, and tried to use one as a weapon, throwing it across the ring. The referee removed it from the ring, but missed Samuels smack Brookside with a different bag. An easy pinfall got Samuels the win, but this one is far from over.
