SmackDown takes place tonight, and there seems to be a lot to get through as there is just a couple of weeks to go before WrestleMania takes place. There will be no end of fall out from the Fastlane PPV, and there could be a massive change made to one of the biggest matches taking place at Mania this year. But, what will be the fall out on Friday night following an action-packed night this past Sunday?
WWE News: Daniel Bryan Added To Universal Championship Match
The main event at Fastlane saw Daniel Bryan get his one-on-one opportunity with Roman Reigns, with Edge serving as the ringside enforcer. It always looked likely that the Rated-R Superstar was going to get involved in the match in some way. That came towards the end of the match, with Edge attacking Bryan to hand Reigns the victory.
There has been a growing feeling that the match will be turned into a triple threat, and that could happen on Friday given that Edge looked to have turned heel following his outburst. Bryan will demand answers tonight, and that could lead to a huge change in the match that will likely close the second night of action.
WWE News: Belair To Respond To Banks
The SmackDown Women’s title match for Mania also picked up speed at Fastlane, with the mutual respect between Belair and Banks finally coming to an end. There will be a fall out from their segment, as Banks finally put her hands on the winner of the Royal Rumble.
Fans will be happy to see the story take its next turn, as the momentum towards Mania continued to build. There will likely be an opportunity for Belair to get her revenge tonight, and that will ultimately lead to the animosity growing between the two superstars.
WWE News: Two Matches Added To Mania Card
Two stories that look set to continue to roll towards Mania this year are the ones revolving around Seth Rollins and Big E. Rollins went one-on-one with Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane, but Cesaro is set to return to SmackDown this evening, and that could lead to their match at Mania finally being announced.
Big E and Apollo Crews have engaged in a heated rivalry for the last couple of months, and despite Big E retaining his title at Fastlane, there is a feeling that rematch could be set for Mania after Crews brutally attacked the Intercontinental champion after their match.
