Tonight should be a good one with Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Business holding a celebration a week after he defeated the Miz for the WWE Championship.
Of course, we expect plenty of shenanigans during the celebration, so we’d better buckle up.
Let the excuses flow
The show started with the Hurt Business entering the build and Bobby Lashley being interviewed by Sarah.
He said he’s been through a lot that would’ve broken a normal man, but he’s Almighty.
For 16 years he had to wait to get the opportunity he got, and when he got it he punished the Miz for trying to put off the inevitable.
He said he’s going to do the same in his rematch with the Miz to start the show off and will walk into WrestleMania 37 as the Almighty Champion as the Almighty Era has begun.
In the ring, the Miz said he stands there empty handed because Bobby Lashley is the new WWE Champion, and he asked John Morrison is he expected to have his tail handed to him.
Morrison said yes, and then said Miz didn’t expect to lose.
The Miz said it’s all Shane McMahon’s fault and it was a slap in the face after all he’s done over the years, and when he says his body isn’t feeling well he should be believed.
He then said people sitting on their couches shouldn’t criticize him because he’s a professional athlete and he gets sore sometimes, like the stomach cramps he allegedly had last week.
He said that he still successfully defended his championship despite the cramps and he was counted out. He lost, but the only way a champion can lose their title is through a pin or submission.
He admitted his actions were shady, but he played to his advantage and outsmarted everyone. He got counted out intentionally but Lashley had his chance.
Miz said his contract did not state that he had to defend his championship twice in one night, and yet he was forced to do so.
He was threatened physically and if he didn’t defend it he would forfeit his championship and it’d be handed to Lashley.
He then went on about how it was unfair that Shane made their match a lumberjack match and it was unfair that Lashley brutalized him.
He added that Lashley faced no repercussions for his action post match, but the WWE did give him a rematch.
Miz said he wants everyone that celebrated Lashley’s win last week to stay close to our computers and phones cause there’s going to be a new hashtag of a new WWE Champion because he’s the Miz and he’s awesome!
WWE Raw Results don’t think it’s going to end the way the Miz expects it, but that’s part of the win, isn’t it?
