MLB The Show 21 is a Major League Baseball game that is usually exclusive for Playstation, but this now confirms that it will release on the Xbox and will also be a day one release on Game Pass. We have recently got Outriders on Game Pass on day one, but this makes it feel like a lot more games are going to be coming to the Game Pass from day one. However, the news that a game that is usually exclusive for the Playstation will be coming to Xbox.
The Forbidden Door has been broken.
This could be one of the first times when we turn on the game that we see both Playstation and Xbox intros on the same game. It feels like a bridge between both Playstation and Xbox has opened. We recently got Octopath on Game Pass after it was said to be an exclusive game for Switch. This could mean that this door has been opened.
We could be seeing a lot more games from Playstation on the Xbox in the future. There are a couple of games that have mentioned that sequels might not be exclusive in the past. One of these being the God of War sequel. After an interview, the developer mentioned that they aren’t sure if it will be a Playstation Exclusive.
Are Game Pass days number, or is this the future of gaming?
At the moment, the Game Pass current path seems very illogical. The usual price of a new release would cost $60-$70 but now that it will now cost $10 a month for the game. This adds up to nearly half a year of subscription to the service.
There is the fact that this service is growing rapidly, with big announcements happening every month. The fact that people could subscribe without taking a break. Xbox will still be getting money from Game Pass. This could be how the Game Pass is possible.
