Hello and welcome to Raw Results!
It looks like we’re going to have a fun show tonight with plenty of new storylines to go around as well as some new championship reigns to kick off the new wrestling calendar.
Let’s get to the action!
Bobby Lashley was circled by Riddle on his scooter when he entered the arena and Riddle challenged him earlier today.
Lashley called him out for getting beat by Sheamus, and then said he’s not going to compete with someone less than Drew McIntyre and wants to celebrate his win.
Riddle called him out for saying anyone can have a shot at the WWE Championship, and he quoted Lashley a few more times before Lashley shoved him down and called him a loser while he’s a winner.
He added he’ll show him the difference tonight, leaving MVP looking confused.
Bobby Lashley w/MVP vs. Riddle
Lashley started it off by nailing Riddle with a clothesline while he scooted around the ring for his entrance, then slammed him into the barricade a few times.
Lashley then threw him into another barricade and drove him into the ring post, and all before the match started.
Lashley went back to a classic and slammed Riddle into the barricade again, then threw him into the ring for the match to start.
Riddle got to his feet and wanted to fight, so the ref called for the bell.
Lashley hammered away on him off the bat and bounced his head into the turnbuckle a couple of times, then another.
Lashley then hit three shoulders in the corner and whipped him across the ring into the other corner, then hit a running shoulder followed by a neckbreaker.
A stalling suplex (one handed!) followed and Lashley headed to the floor and grabbed Riddle’s scooter and chuckled it somewhere out of the arena.
Back in the ring, Riddle met him with a series of strikes to the midsection but Lashley hit a body slam, and Lashley threw him to the floor.
On the floor, Lashley pressed slammed Riddle over the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Not even close
Back from commercial, they’re back in the ring with Lashley still in control with shots to Riddle’s kidney section and then ground his fist into Riddle’s head through a chin lock.
Riddle hit some strikes and a forearm, but Lashley caught his clothesline and hit several knees, then a flatliner for a pin attempt that Riddle kicked out.
Lashley pounded away on him and ground his knuckles into Riddle’s cheek and ground his face into the bottom rope before Lashley choked him out with his foot.
Lashley hit a reverse elbow off the ropes and hit a snap suplex and ground Riddle’s face into the ring.
He slammed Riddle’s right arm into the mat, then the left. Lashley then stomped on Riddle’s left arm and locked in another neck lock.
Riddle fought back with a series of forearms, and Lashley nailed him with a clothesline to end that flurry.
Riddle avoided a tossup off the ropes and hit a series of kicks and punches, and hit a knee strike.
Riddle headed to the top rope, but Lashley rolled out of the way of a Floating Bro and locked in the Hurt Lock for the submission.
WWE Raw Results wonder if this was to end any hope for Riddle here or if he’ll keep nagging at Lashley over the next few weeks?
