Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we should have a fun episode tonight as the Street Profits challenge the Dirty Dawgs for the Smackdown tag titles and Rey and Dominic Mysterio face the Alpha Academy.
Time to get ready and grab some snacks before settling in, but WWE Smackdown Live Results will be back for the 8 p.m. EST showtime.
Segment 1
Roman Reigns came out for his victory lap and said no one dares to face him, so Cesaro came out.
Reigns left before Cesaro was able to say anything, showing Cesaro zero respect. This is going to be a fun feud.
Segment 2
Otis w/Chad Gable vs. Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio
This was a pretty good match that Rey pulled out with a crucifix pin from off the top rope.
Segment 3
Sami Zayn blamed Kevin Owens and everyone in WWE and the fanbase for corrupting Logan Paul, then called out Owens to face him now that he’s not distracted.
Owens came out as we headed to commercial. Looks like a match or confrontation of some sort is next.
Segment 4
Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
This started off evenly and Zayn eventually gained control thanks to his planning and hit a sunset powerbomb off the top rope for a near pinfall as we headed to commercial.
Segment 5
Zayn kept trying to escape and eventually managed to to take a count out loss, but Owens brought him back to the ring to hit a stunner to satisfy himself.
Segment 6
The Street Profits were joined by Bianca Belair in the ring to celebrate her win. She gave a great inspirational speech.
Backstage, Banks couldn’t comment and Bayley said she’s going to challenge Belair to restore dignity to the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Segment 7
Smackdown Tag Team Championship – Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode) vs. Street Profits (Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins)
This started off with the Street Profits in control and Ziggler and Roode unable to get out of their own way.
Dawkins hit Roode with a shoulder block and then he and Ford shouted into the camera as we headed to commercial.
This match is feeling way off and sloppy at the moment. Hope it tightens up when we come back.
Segment 8
The match tightened up significantly after the commercial break, and the Street Profits had it won when Ziggler blind tagged in and hit a Zigzag on Ford for the win.
Segment 9
Natalya w/Tamina vs. Shayna Baszler w/Nia Jax
This was a quick match that Natalya won with a rollup after Baszler nearly ran into Jax on the apron.
Jax grabbed Natalya after the match and Tamina laid Jax out with a superkick.
Segment 10
Jey Uso vs. Cesaro
This started fast, but Jey gained the upper hand after catching Cesaro coming off the apron with a superkick as we headed to commercial.
Segment 11
This was a great match that ended when Cesaro started to swing Jey but Seth Rollins came in and nailed Cesaro, then shouted that it wasn’t over until he says it’s over.
Guess Rollins and Reigns will be joining forces pretty soon, especially after Heyman’s glowing commentary on Rollins earlier in the show?
We’ll have to wait and see, but we enjoyed the show and think it was pretty good overall. What did you all think?
