WWE Smackdown Preview is ready for some interesting times tonight as we get set to see how Seth Rollins will play into things with Cesaro and Roman Reigns.
While it doesn’t appear the Shield will be reforming any time soon, there could be a union of sorts formed between Rollins and Reigns after last week’s attack.
First, Paul Heyman had high praise for Rollins during last week’s show when he went on about Rollins having to dirty himself to face Cesaro, and then Rollins’ attack when Cesaro was about to swing Jey Uso.
With his feud with Rollins far from over, it looks like Cesaro will face him at least once more. Maybe even tonight in an impromptu match.
Of course, they’ve had a knack for extending Rollins’ feuds beyond their breaking point for fans, so we doubt this will be over any time soon.
Since we were teased last week with Cesaro and Reigns facing off, it’ll give us something to look forward to when they finish Cesaro’s feud with Rollins in six months or somewhere in there.
One thing to keep a look out for is a possible tag match tonight between Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura and Rollins and Jey.
Call if a hunch.
Bayley’s back in the picture
Last week, Bayley stated she’s going to return honor and prestige to the Smackdown Women’s Championship, so we expect her to officially challenge Bianca Belair tonight on Ding Dong, Hello!
Why? Why not?
It feels like the WWE’s current sense of humor and attempt to make interactions intriguing rather than let Bayley and Belair get into it backstage and in the ring.
Of course, Sasha Banks won’t be finished yet, so tonight will set the stage for a probably triple threat match at Backlash between the three of them.
Honestly, we would prefer if they’d just let Bayley do her thing.
WWE Smackdown Preview have missed seeing her in action on the mic and in the ring, and a series of singles matches between her and Banks to face Belair would be perfect.
But the WWE loves their gimmick matches, so we expect a triple threat or gauntlet type of match for the winner to challenge Belair over the next few weeks.
It should be fun to watch as the WWE has solid matches when they allow their talent to wrestle and not gimmick everything, but we’ll have to wait and see.
