It was definitely an interesting Thursday at the UFC 262 pre-fight press conference, especially during Tony Ferguson’s presser; the prolific fighter with a 26 – 5 – 0 record and former interim lightweight division champion.
Ferguson was definitely a little brash at the presser for the fight between him and Beneil Dariush, which can be said to have been more hilarious than serious. Ferguson humorously called out a number of his colleagues on different issues, even calling out the President of UFC in the process, he also quoted some lines from popular rapper Future’s “mask off”. He also clearly stated that he is yet to reach his prime in the presser.
Tony Ferguson’s HILARIOUS UFC 262 Presser Ahead of Beneil Dariush Bout, Calls Khabib Nourmagomedov a “B**ch”!
Tony Ferguson called out former lightweight division champion Khabib Nurmagomedov who retired in March. “He’s a b*tch.” said Ferguson. “I’m gonna dedicate this song called mask off; chase a check, never chase a b*tch. That’s Khabib.” Ferguson continued; these lines were received with screams of laughter by the crowd present at the presser.
He also took a shot at his opponent this weekend; Beneil Dariush for helping Justin Gaethje fight for the title. “Hey homie, I already know that you went to help Justin Gaethje, you’re a little b*tch for going out there and helping him fight for the title.” Ferguson spouted. This was received with cheers from the crowd and the altercation continued for a little longer and Ferguson promised to knock Dariush out, while, referencing the time he slammed his student and broke his ribs, which, Dariush called a d*ck move. “I’m gonna slam you, I’m gonna slam you, I’m gonna slam you like I did my student and broke his f*cking ribs. Ferguson is quoted as saying.
Ferguson also took digs at Michael Chandler who was also at the presser for his lightweight title fight with Charles Oliveira. Ferguson called Chandler a b*tch for dodging a fight with him and claimed he was undeserving of the opportunity to fight for the title, he referenced his setback the year prior when he missed his chance at challenging for the title due to an injury right before the match. “You f*cking dodged me too Chandler, every f*cking person out here except for this guy right here that’s sitting next to me [Charles Oliveira] … You got Dana White privilege…” Ferguson said, subtly shading the UFC president who alongside the crowd had a big laugh over the statement.
Ferguson also humorously asked the President for a bigger bonus if they got a bigger fight, in a brief conversation that sparked up a ton of laughter from everyone present. “… So, I’m gonna ask you Dana, since we’re here like last time, can we get a bigger bonus this time, if we go out there and get f*cking a bigger fight? Can we get it? Can you dig it? Let’s get it…” The President amidst his laughter waved off the question without a response and shifted his focus to the press present, asking them for the next question.
