A few weeks back, Nathan Frazier was screwed out of a Heritage Cup rules win over Noam Dar. This was all due to the fact that Sha Samuels couldn’t keep his nose out of the ring, and would attack Frazier behind the back of the referee. Tonight, Frazier gets a chance at revenge as he faces the East End Butcher one on one.
Sha Samuels Looks To Mug Frazier
Samuels would have Noam Dar in his corner for this match, giving Frazier the same disadvantage that led to his last loss. Frazier would start by launching off some quick chops, before seemingly being cornered. He’d use his speed to dodged a strike from Samuels, before being caught thrown in and punched in the chest.
Frazier would slip free, and have Samuels run into a flatliner into the corner pad. A single leg dropkick to the face would drop Samuels, and Frazier would look for his Frog Splash finish early. Noam Dar would distract him, and allow Samuels to throw Frazier into the middle of the ring.
Frazier would be beaten down in the middle of the ring, before taking a PK to the spine for a two count. Samuels applied a Cobra Clutch, before slinging Frazier to the mat and nailing some elbow drops in the middle of the ring for a two count.
Frazier would finally fight his way free and nail a chop before getting some speed off the ropes, and running right into a back elbow. Samuels followed up with a body slam in the middle of the ring, and Frazier was able to kick out at two. Frazier would have his mouth fish hooked, as Samuels went for a sleeper hold, but the referee split this hold up.
Nathan Frazier Proves He’s Not A One Tricky Pony
Samuels would again run down Frazier as he gained speed, and beat him down on the mat, all while keeping steady trash talk coming. Frazier was choked on the middle rope, before hitting a knee strike to the stomach. Samuels wouldn’t get the win via forfeit, and Frazier fought back to be knocked down.
A backdrop got Samuels a two count, and Dar called for the Butchers Hook. Frazier would fire up after being called a ‘one trick pony’ getting some right hands to the face before a flying forearm. A running chop in the corner kept the pressure on before some Kobashi style chops and a side slam.
He’d got to the apron, and Dar pulled him down and took a forearm to the face. Dar got removed from ringside, and Samuels took a roll up for a two count. Frazier drove Samuels over the top rope and hit a flipping senton over the top rope to take him down.
A springboard crossbody back in the ring was caught into a Michinouku Driver from Samuels. The Butchers Hook would be attempted, and Frazier was able to counter into a roll up before the springboard reverse DDT. One frog splash later, and Nathan Frazier claimed the win.
Nathan Frazier continues to improve with each and every match, while Sha Samuels proves to be the perfect midcard heel for NXT UK. Action was solid from bell to bell, and Frazier showed his resiliency in a big way. Match Rating: ⅗ (***)
