Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we should have an interesting show ahead of us and Jimmy Uso continues to try prying Jey Uso out from under Roman Reign’s thumb in a match against the Street Profits tonight.
We’re looking forward to it, and we’ll see you at 8 p.m. EST to start WWE Smackdown Live Results off with a bang.
Segment 1
Roman Reigns wished Jimmy luck. Jey told Reigns he’s in the match with Jimmy tonight, but he’s with Reigns, and Reigns told him to tell his brother that.
In the ring, the Street Profits and Usos exchanged words in a fun promo but something felt off. We’re pretty sure Jey will leave Jimmy at some point. The match is next.
Segment 2
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford) vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
The match started with the Usos appearing flat footed compared to the Street Profits.
A match of armbars developed before the Profits sent the Usos to the floor, then sent one into the time keeper’s area and the other over the announce desk as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
The match remained moving at a patient pace with the Uso in control.
Ford hit both Usos with a step up kick, and Jey pulled Dawkins off the apron so Ford couldn’t take out.
Jimmy hit a Samoan Drop for a near pinfall as we headed to commercial.
Segment 4
After Jey pulled Jimmy out from a From the heavens by Ford, Jimmy hit Ford with a superkick for the win.
This was a great match and it’s awesome to see Jimmy and the Usos in action again.
Segment 5
Natalya and Tamina vs. The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan)
This was a quick match with a good portion of it started during the commercial break.
After Natalya absorbed a ton of punishment, Tamina came in and mauled Riott before hitting a Superfly Splash for the win.
Segment 6
Bianca Belair vs. Carmella
This was a decent match and Bayley joined the commentary team at it’s beginning.
Carmella came close to winning a couple of times, but Belair hit the KOD for the win.
Segment 7
Wearing a suit Impact Wrestling’s Johnny Swinger would be proud of, Seth Rollins came out and mocked Cesaro for not being in the arena to spoil his birthday.
He then blamed Cesaro and the fans at home for brainwashing Cesaro into believing he could disrespect him.
Rollins ended it by singing Happy Birthday to himself.
Segment 8
Apollo Crews w/Commander Azeez vs. Kevin Owens
Owens came out fast and had it won after hitting a stunner, but Azeez reached through the ropes and hit Owens with a Nigerian Nail for the DG.
Whelp, this was a waste of time.
Segment 9
Shinsuke Nakamura w/Rick Boogs vs. Chad Gabe w/Otis
This was a mess early on as Otis attacked Nakamura before the bell and Corbin took back his crown.
Nakamura hit Gable with a kinsasha for the win, and Boogs hit Corbin from behind when he was about to crown himself and Nakamura reclaimed his crown.
Segment 10
Smackdown Tag Team Championship – Rey and Dominic Mysterio (c) vs. The Dirty Dawgs (Robert Roode, Dolph Ziggler)
Roode and Ziggler dominated what was a handicap match since Rey was injured backstage.
As they were about to finish off Dominik, Rey came out and Dominik used the distraction to roll up Roode for the win.
This match should’ve been the first of the night as it was just a copy and paste and really added nothing.
Overall, the night felt like it was thrown together at the last minute and was rough all around except for the Street Profits and Usos. What did you think of it?
