Bobby Lashley proved a lot of his critics wrong when he was able to defeat Drew McIntyre and retain the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 37. However, he wasn’t done with McIntyre just yet, and things only got harder for Lashley when Braun Strowman was added to the mix for this next title defense. It’ll be under Triple Threat rules, so Lashley doesn’t even have to be pinned to lose his championship. We have three proper heavyweights here, and this one won’t be fancy.

All Three Men Came To Fight

Lashley would ask for an alliance with McIntyre, and Strowman took action and just ran McIntyre down with a boot. Strowman would be dropped with a flatliner from Lashley, and McIntyre would actually work with Lashley to help take Strowman out of the picture. Strowman would gain some ground and take a Glasgow Kiss from McIntyre, before Lashley yanked him outside.

They’d brawl for a moment, before Strowman hit a cannonball senton off the apron to take both men out. He’d drag Lashley into the ring and nail a chokeslam for a two count. Lashley looked to apply the Hurt Lock, as McIntyre came off the top rope with a crossbody. McIntyre tossed Lashley with a belly to belly suplex, before sending Strowman shoulder first into the corner post.

Strowman was hit with a Zig-Zag from McIntyre, before Lashley cornered McIntyre with some strikes before a toss across the ring. Lashley dropped Strowman with a spinebuster getting a two count. He’d check on McIntyre outside, before Strowman ran him down with the steel ring steps.

How Did Bobby Lashley Come Back From The Void?

McIntyre would drop Strowman, before taking Lashley up the ramp for a suplex which was countered. Lashley took him up the LED boards on the stage, and looked to suplex him into it. McIntyre countered with a Glasgow Kiss, before chucking Lashley through the boards, sparks flying everywhere.

Strowman was now the only target for McIntyre, who rushed up the stage to take advantage. McIntyre was thrown down the ramp and hit with a big shoulder tackle, sending him bouncing off the apron. Strowman got McIntyre into the ring, hit the Primal Concrete Sledge and a running senton for a two count.

McIntyre would send Strowman charging into the corner, before hitting a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Strowman went for the running shoulder tackle on the outside, but ran right into a belly to belly suplex. McIntyre went for a claymore, and got caught in a powerbomb through the table.

He’d pull McIntyre into the ring, but the running powerslam was countered. A claymore from McIntyre rocked Strowman, as Lashley re-emerged from the wreckage on the stage. Lashley threw McIntyre out of the ring, nailed a spear on Strowman and this one was done.

A classic heavyweight triple threat, full of crazy spots and hard hitting action. All three men were on top of their game in this one, pulling out new moves to make this one memorable. The finish was a bit out of nowhere, but the action of the match leading up to this more than made up for it. Match Rating: 4.25/5 (**** 1/4)

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
