Chrissy Teigen has issued a heartfelt apology in response to the criticism she has received for her alleged acts of bullying.

Chrissy Teigen Apologises For Being A Bully

The model was recently called out after a series of celebrities had blasted her over the treatment she was giving them via social media. An example of such bad treatment were her comments to Courtney Stodden. But with the passage of time, Chrissy has realised that her actions were wrong.

In a post to her fans on Medium, she said: “As you know, a bunch of my old awful (awful, awful) tweets resurfaced. I’m truly ashamed of them. As I look at them and understand the hurt they caused.”

The tweets were not only shocking for their content but also in light of their context. Chrissy had also deactivated her Twitter account after stating how she could no longer handle the interactions that were going on. While she did return to the platform, it seems she was part of the problem.

But with the presence of cancel culture, it may explain why she decided to remain very quiet after the initial scandal broke. And her following comments may hint at that. She stated: “I know I’ve been quiet, and lord knows you don’t want to hear about me, but I want you to know I’ve been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment.”

And looking back, Chrissy’s comments cannot be brushed aside by a simple apology. During one of her interactions with Courtney, she had suggested that the star should end her life. Regardless of whether it was a tongue in cheek comment or one expressed through a moment of anger, it did leave Courtney really shaken up.

During a prior interview with The Daily Beast, Courtney said: “She wouldn’t just publicly tweet. But would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, “I can’t wait for you to die.” Chrissy’s apology may not be the end of this, as Courtney has yet to respond in kind. But given what 2021 has taught us so far, the power is firmly on the victim’ side.

Chrissy has already been dropped by some well-known brands such as Target, and the question remains whether this is just the start. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
