Sheamus appeared on WWE Raw last night looking to put Humberto Carrillo and Ricochet in their places, and things didn’t go like he planned.
After losing to Ricochet in the first of two back to back matches, Sheamus faced Humberto Carrillo.
During the match, Carrillo accidentally nailed Sheamus with a right and reportedly broke his nose.
Sheamus finished the match with blood on his face and chest, and he came out on the short end of the outcome to make his night 0 for 3, if we count his injury.

This isn’t the first time someone has gotten hurt when Sheamus and Carrillo face off, as Sheamus landed on Carrillo’s hip a couple of weeks ago in what could’ve been a far worse injury.
Thankfully, Carrillo was okay to return a couple of weeks later, and now it’s Cesaro’s turn.
More than a bloody nose
According to Sportskeeda, Sheamus did indeed suffer a broken nose and he may be asked to take time off by the WWE.
If this happens, there’s a chance he’ll have to vacate the United States Championship, but we don’t think it’ll come to that.
While he may not be able to defend the title, he could still take part in promos about how a broken nose won’t stop him.
It’s been done before, but since he hasn’t defended the US title in a while, it could raise the ire of some fans.
It’ll come down to whether the US title is important enough to fans and the big wigs to strip him or not.
Vacating the title or not
Sheamus recently said on social media that he’s not vacating the title, so it looks like he’s not going to take time off. Of course, whether that’s coming from him or the WWE is a good question.

If he does have to vacate it, we expect a tournament over the next couple of weeks and the winner to be crowned at Hell in a Cell.
It’s our guess it’ll be between Ricochet and Carrillo, but chances are Sheamus could be back before then so he could also go after the championship he never lost.
This feels like something the WWE would do, and it could be better than a triple threat between them at the pay-per-view.
Whatever decision they come to, we hope Sheamus has a speedy recovery and can get back in the ring when he’s ready and able to.
