Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
We’re set for what looks like a fun show with some good matches and the first ever Hell in a Cell match on Smackdown.
It’s going to be a fun night, and we’ll be back at the 8 p.m. EST showtime to kick off WWE Smackdown Live Results.
Segment 1
Rey Mysterio came out and challenged Roman Reigns to a Hell in a Cell match as he wanted to hear it from Reigns’ mouth.
Reigns came out and asked if it’s what he really wants, and Rey said it is. So, Reigns accepted after warning him what he did to Dominik will be PG compared to what he’ll do to Rey.
Segment 2
Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez vs. Big E and Kevin Owens
Sami Zayn came out to join the commentary team as the bell rang. He wouldn’t interfere, would he?
Big E and Owens started off fast against Crews, but Azeez tagged in and sent Big E to the floor with a big boot, then hit a body slam on the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
Azeez closed out a dominate performance by hitting Owens with a Nigerian Nail for the win, and then another afterwards for good measure.
Segment 4
Battle for the Crown – Shinsuke Nakamura w/Rick Boogs vs. King Corbin
This started off fast as Corbin was as intense as ever, and Nakamura countered his initial surge with a series of kicks and dropped him out of the corner as we headed to commercial.
Segment 5
A pretty good match, this ended after Nakamura hit a series of knees and then a kinsasha to win the match and the crown officially.
Segment 6
Bianca Belair cut her typical anti-bully promo, then challenged Bayley to a match in Hell in a Cell.
Bayley came out and beat her down before standing tall and holding the Smackdown Women’s Championship in an apparent acceptance of the match.
Segment 7
Otis w/Chad Gable vs. Angelo Dawkins
This match never happened as Otis and Gable attacked Dawkins before the match and laid him out.
Segment 8
Rollins interrupted Cesaro’s interview and told him he disgusts him and he’ll show him where he belongs when he puts Cesaro in his place.
Cesaro told him he respects what he said, the pushed him and his chair over before walking away.
Segment 9
Universal Championship – Hell in a Cell – Roman Reigns (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. Rey Mysterio
This started fast as Rey went for a chair and fire extinguisher before hitting Reigns with a tool box as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
Rey dominated with a chair but Reigns eventually took over and pendulumed Rey against two sides of the cage before lawn darting him into the cage as we headed to commercial.
Segment 11
This was a good match that Reigns eventually won after power bombing Rey over the ropes and into the cage, then locked in a guillotine for the tap out win.
Jimmy came out and raised Reigns’ arm, and Reigns then locked in another guillotine on Rey to force him to tap out after the match.
