As AEW gets back on the road, it’s time to wrap a feud that’s been brewing for months. QT Marshall had split off from the Nightmare Family to form The Factory, and has been especially focused on taking the spotlight from Cody Rhodes. Tonight, they will clash in front of the fans of Miami as AEW is back on the road, and in a hard hitting strap match. To win, you’ll need to touch all four corners in order to win the match.
QT Marshall Gets Some Heavy Blows In
Rhodes would start with a dive to the outside on Marshall, before being able to pull him into the ring for a powerslam. Marshall would try for a Diamond Cutter, but was shoved into the corner. He’d look to come out with a moonsault, but got whipped with the strap on the way down. Rhodes started to hit the corners, but Aaron Solow of The Factory attacked Rhodes after getting two corners.
Dustin Rhodes made the save, but Marshall was able to low blow Cody with the strap. Marshall would start hitting the corners and get three, while dragging Rhodes behind him, and Rhodes got them as well before trying to sneak the fourth by leaping onto the back of Marshall. They’d brawl it out and rest the count.
Marshall slipped the outside and Rhodes would follow, before yanking Marshall into the corner post. Rhodes got back into the ring, and a power failure distracted him midway through. Marshall got back into the ring and took him down with the backbreaker into the flatliner combo, before hitting a powerbomb off the top rope.
Cody Rhodes Brings Some Classic Babyface Fire
Rhodes would be tied up with the strap, and pulled onto the top rope for a Diamond Cutter. Marshall could have pinned Rhodes in a normal corner, but would work on hitting the corners. He got to three before Rhodes fired up and stopped his progress. A firey comeback from Rhodes would end with a top rope Cody Cutter, before hitting three of the corners.
Marshall stopped Rhodes at three, but took a low blow and three back to back to back Cross Rhodes. Rhodes was able to get all four corners with the fans behind him, and this one was done. We got to see a classic babyface performance from Rhodes here in this one, and the crowd was 100% behind him the whole time.
