Kicking off this huge episode of AEW Dynamite would be two of the baddest men on the roster. Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley would get a huge reaction when Wild Thing hit, only for 2.0 and Daniel Garcia to take them out on their way to the ring. A steel pipe to the back of the leg from Garcia took them down. ‘Big Magic’ Matt Lee would take the microphone and call out Sting & Darby Allin. He wants that Texas Tornado Match right here, right now.
2.0 Come In Hot And Ready To Fight
This was the first time Sting would wrestle on TNT in 20 years, and he’d be ready to show 2.0 that you gotta pick your fights wisely. Darby Allin would appear behind 2.0 & Garcia, taking out Garcia with the skateboard. 2.0 would be hit with tandem stinger splashes, before this one spilled out into the arena. Garcia would be ready to help out 2.0, and in a No DQ match like this it’s all legal.
2.0 would hit their double flapjack onto Allin, having him smash his head off the concrete wall. Sting would also hit the concrete walls, before being pulled towards the ring. Allin would be back to life, and threw himself off the guard rail. Eddie Kingston joined the fight and took Daniel Garcia with him, evening the odds.
Sting Shows That He Never Lost His Endurance
Finally, this one reached the ring again. Allin would grab a table from underneath, and set it up in the ring with Sting. 2.0 would do their best to prevent this, and were looking to isolate Allin on the ramp. A suplex onto the skateboard wheels would punish his spine, but Sting would look to make the save.
Sting would show his heart and fire up, only to be sent through a table with a double powerbomb. However, if anything is known about the career of Sting, it’s that he has insane endurance. He’d be back up, and hit a double scorpion death drop, and double scorpion deathlock for the win!!
This was just a super fun way to kick off a show, and Sting is proving that he is better than anyone ever would have given him credit for when he showed up in AEW. 2.0 also looked fantastic, really taking Sting & Darby into a corner. Match Rating: 3.25/5 (*** 1/4)
