It has been an interesting few weeks for up and coming AEW tag team, The Acclaimed. Max Caster & Anthony Bowens have been two of AEW’s more entertaining wrestlers, mainly due to the entrance raps of Caster. He’s gone way further than previous rap gimmicks in wrestling, and went way too far on the 100th episode of AEW Dark. Mentioning Duke Lacrosse & Simone Biles got him in deep trouble, with AEW CEO Tony Khan saying it should have never made it to air. Now, Caster is seemingly indicating he might be done with AEW, and is selling his ring gear.
Max Caster Won’t Be Needing His Gear Anymore?
An eBay listing would be found for some autographed Max Caster gear. While this is nothing too strange, wrestlers sell their gear often, the description is what makes this fairly note worthy. Scrolling down and you will find the following message .
“This set of gear has been worn on AEW Dynamite. I’ve worn this in matches against Chris Jericho, MJF, the Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, SCU, & more. Need some extra $ this month and I don’t think I’ll be needing this stuff anymore… Get it off my hands! Will personalize an autograph on kneepads at request.”
While at first, Caster seemed like he was trolling, this is a pretty odd step to take. He is someone who is known to do everything possible to mess with fans, but a random eBay listing is certainly not something anyone expected. We will still have to wait and see, and most fans still are leaning to him being back on TV fairly soon.
Anthony Bowens Remains Critically Acclaimed
Meanwhile, his tag team partner Anthony Bowens has been doing his best to keep things going. He was recently on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, and tonight on AEW Dark: Elevation, he will be going one on one with PAC. Bowens is one of the bright stars of AEW’s futures, and has truly earned his “Five Tool Player” nickname.
Regardless if Caster is gone or not, it seems Bowens is not getting any punishment for his involvement in the entrance that got Caster pulled. Do you think Max Caster is set to leave professional wrestling, or is he just messing with fans? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
