Tyron Woodley is fired up and ready to deliver some damage when he takes on YouTuber Jake Paul in the boxing ring this weekend. As fight day looms ever closer, Tyron Woodley shows no signs of nerves or anxiety, calling his years of combat sports experience to remain calm, cool, and collected.
Speaking with The MMA Hour, Woodley declared war on Jake Paul inside the boxing ring. “I’m just glad to be a part of it, but I’m not only here to participate.
Tyron Woodley’s Boxing Brag: “I’m here to f*cking take over”
I’m here to f*cking take over. And you’re going to see Jake Paul get hurt in a way you’d never imagine. He may not want to do this again after this.”
Jake Paul might be fresh off a knockout win in boxing, while Woodley is on a three-fight losing streak in MMA, but Tyron Woodley is not short on confidence in his ability. In fact, he plans on beating Jake Paul not only in the ring, but at his own game: YouTube. “It’s too late. He’s going to be the biggest b*tch in the industry of female dogs if he backs out of this fight now.
So now I can talk for real. Now I can say what we really were doing. Now I can show you guys. Come Saturday, if you guys are not subscribed to me on YouTube, subscribe. Saturday, I’m breaking the internet.
I promise you, it’s going to be internet breaking. This entire camp has been a movie” If Paul tries to back out of the fight upon hearing these threats, Woodley won’t be standing for it.
“If he tried to pull a COVID-19, I’m coming to his hotel and I’m sticking a Q-tip in his nose and I’m going to do it for seven tests.
I want to see some X-rays. I want to see some ultrasound. I want the doctor to produce the [positive test] to me personally.
Because he doesn’t really understand that the force I punch with and the certainty of me landing and me seeing it before it happens. It’s not something that a sparring partner in Puerto Rico can display and mimic and perpetrate.”
Tyron Woodley, during his time in the UFC, had a fearsome reputation for ferocious knockout power. Although much of his fighting pedigree was rooted in classic American wrestling, Woodley’s striking ability was never in doubt.
Do you think Tyron Woodley will deliver on his promise and embarrass Jake Paul in the ring, or will Paul continue to surprise everyone and take Tyron Woodley out? Let us know in the comments.
