Hit Row recently showcased their rap skills with a live cypher to celebrate the NXT North American Championship win of Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott. This week, Legado Del Fantasma were gonna one up them with a Mariachi performance. However, Santos Escobar changed his mind, and has a better idea for this time.
Legado Del Fantasma & Hit Row Start Their War
Santos Escobar would call out Hit Row for embarrassing themselves with their cypher, and that the NXT North American Championship deserves better. Escobar is the true champion of NXT, and is looking to get a one on one shot with Swerve. Hit Row would take the stage and rip into Legado, before Swerve would address Escobar.
In 2020, they clashed over the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, and it took all of Legado Del Fantasma to keep the belt on Escobar. Now, Swerve has his own group, and things are able to get interesting. Hit Row would hit the ring, and a brawl broke out with Escobar & Swerve staring each other down.
Swerve would be punched out and B. Fab stopped him from being hit with a guitar. Now with the guitar in hand, Swerve would swing for the fences and send Escobar running. Joaquin Wilde would be left surrounded, and be taken down with a guitar to the back. The message was sent, and it’s that you don’t mess with Hit Row.
Austin Theory Leaves The Way?
Backstage, we’d catch up with The Way. Everything hasn’t been going their way lately. Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, Johnny Gargano couldn’t defeat Karrion Kross, and Austin Theory keeps picking fights he can’t win. Add in that Indi Hartwell is having a relationship with Dexter Lumis, and LeRae has had enough.
This faction is crumbling, and they’d argue about going back to therapy. Theory would simply look to get a high five from Gargano, trying to bring some normal to the group but was ignored for the argument. He’d take his things and walk away looking rejected. This comes after he had a dark match ahead of Smackdown Live, and just proved he can work on the level of O’Reilly. It might be time for him to find his own way, and that could leave him out of NXT.
