When Nikki ASH was able to win the 2021 Money in The Bank ladder match, few expected her to successfully cash in and become the RAW Women’s Champion. However, she was able to take advantage of a beaten down Charlotte Flair to grab the title. However, now she has to deal with both Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley tonight at Summerslam. This is her biggest match to date, and Nikki will truly prove if she’s super or not.
Nikki ASH Is A Major Underdog
Nikki ASH looked out of place in this match, and in crowd reaction too. She’d be fighting two uphill battles, and Flair shoved her down to start this match. Nikki nailed a dropkick to send Ripley to the outside before hitting a Monkey Flip on Charlotte Flair. Ripley was back in and got rolled into a pinfall, before she threw Nikki out of the ring.
Nikki was back in soon for a headlock takeover on Ripley, before Flair used her as a battering ram before focusing on Ripley. A backbreaker and facebuster in the corner from Flair was followed by a crossbody from Nikki. Flair got right back on top by slamming Nikki onto Ripley, before thinking about a Moonsault.
Ripley would counter before looking for Riptide on Nikki before being countered into a pinfall. She’d manage to kick out, before taking a big boot from Flair. Some short arm lariats and a headbutt from Ripley rocked Flair, before she’d hit a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count. Flair would get Ripley on the apron with a big boot, before getting a tornado DDT from Nikki. She’d look for a Fallaway Slam, before Ripley got a German Suplex to throw them both.
Charlotte Flair Shows Why She’s The Queen
Ripley went up high for a missile dropkick, getting a two count. They’d brawl to the outside, before Nikki dove onto them with a big crossbody. Back in the ring, Nikki wanted the neckbreaker but settled for a double suplex with Ripley, only for Flair to turn it into a double DDT. Some Flair chops would be thrown, but Ripley & Nikki were going to work together.
Flair would send them both to the outside, before looking for the corkscrew moonsault. She got all of it, but Ripley was first back to the ring and followed by Nikki who got a near fall off a roll up. Ripley would apply the Prism Lock, but let go to dodge a big boot from Flair and got the hold in on her. Flair countered and locked in the Figure Eight, only for Nikki to crash down and break the hold.
A quick neckbreaker to Flair got a two count, Ripley breaking it up. Nikki would counter Riptide into a DDT, but Ripley rolled to the outside. Nikki would look for a crossbody on Flair, but end up in the Figure Eight. She’d fight to get to the ropes, but had to tap out.
A frantic triple threat which had some good action throughout, with Nikki ASH proving she can hang at the top, but being used to elevate the reigns of Charlotte Flair again. Match Rating: 3.25/5 (*** 1/4)
