When it comes to missed chances by WWE, Andrade is one of the ones that stand out the most. A third generation talent with the good looks and in-ring skills to be a star anywhere, WWE could somehow not find a way to make use of him. Now, he’s getting another chance in AEW; and he hopes to get very comfortable there, and surround himself with those he can trust – and who can you trust more than family?
Andrade Wants His Entire Family To Come With Him To AEW
As revealed by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Andrade has plans to try to bring in some family members to AEW. His intent is to have his entire family join AEW in time. This doesn’t just include those he’s related to by blood however, in fact it’s mostly just his close friends, his fiancée, and her legendary father.
The hope of Andrade is for RUSH, Dragon Lee, Charlotte Flair, and Ric Flair all to be in AEW before long. Ric Flair was recently released from WWE, meaning that he will soon be a free agent and free to join AEW. He would be joining some of his old allies in Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard if he joins AEW, as well as an old rival in Sting.
RUSH & Dragon Lee are currently under contract to Ring of Honor. They signed one year deals at the start of 2021, meaning that they will be free agents again come the start of 2022. RUSH recently dropped the ROH World Championship to Bandido, one of his few losses in his ROH run.
Charlotte Flair To Become All Elite?
However the biggest name that Andrade hopes to bring to AEW is Charlotte Flair. Flair is easily the top female talent in WWE right now, being constantly around the top of the card. She’s already a 13 time women’s champion in the company, having reigned with all major belts from the NXT Women’s Championship to RAW Women’s Championship. Having been trained by WWE and only ever wrestling there, it’s quite hard to imagine Flair wrestling anywhere else in the industry.
However, with her soon to be husband in AEW, it might make the choice to jump ship easier when the time comes. This would be huge for AEW, as WWE has made Charlotte Flair into a star. Despite fan push-back, she constantly impresses in the ring, and could do great with the roster of AEW. Do you see Andrade getting his wish in AEW?
