Since returning to AEW, Anna Jay has been proving that she’s 100% and someone to take seriously. However, she needs to get past The Bunny & Penelope Ford first, as they are causing issues for Jay & Tay Conti. Tonight, she gets Ford one on one, in front of 20k fans – both of them having their biggest match ever.
Miro Gets Some Murder In, PAC vs. Andrade II Incoming
Before this match kicked off, we’d see Sammy Guevara come to the ramp with Fuego Del Sol. He’d address Queens, and say that it’s time for The Spanish God to become TNT Champion. However Miro came in from behind and would take on both Fuego & Guevara. Miro threw Fuego off the stage through a table, filling his murder quota for the week. Guevara got the Game Over applied, and this is a preview of Wednesday.
Andrade would address why he kicked out Chavo of his group. He knows when he needs help and when he doesn’t. To prove it, he’ll beat PAC again without anything getting in the mix – which is a match fans won’t complain about seeing again.
Anna Jay Makes A Rookie Mistake
Jay went right after Ford, not even letting her get to the ring. Ford was thrown into the ring post, and this is what happens when you piss off Anna Jay. She was more aggressive than ever, and between the Brass Knuckles shot last week and Dark Order falling apart – no wonder. Jay hit the Dangerous J kick and applied The Queenslayer, and Ford was fading.
The Bunny made the save, just coming down the ramp causing Jay to let the hold go… instead of just winning and then taking care of her. Ford would take advantage and this one became more of a back and forth match. Jay got another attempt at Queenslayer but was slammed into the corner. Ford used the brass knuckles again as Bunny ran a distraction, and it was over.
This match should have just been a squash from Jay, to really sell her anger – as few are caring about this feud or The Bunny at this point. It ended up being a slow and clunky match that would have been more fitting on AEW Dark – not a massive episode of Rampage. Match Rating: 1.75/5 (* 3/4)
After the match, Jay would be beaten down by Ford & Bunny, and Tay Conti made the save. She’d get taken out as well. OC & Statlander would come to the ramp, and HFO formed a wall. The Dark Order would reunite to aid Anna Jay. Is this what Dark Order needed? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
