Big E finally had his moment in WWE and won the Universal Championship. It felt like a perfect moment and surprise that it took so long to see Big E at the top. However, this wasn’t the original plan. It seems like Big E was always going to become the champion instead of last night’s Raw. It was originally planned to take place on the draft show of Raw. The change of Bobby Lashley Vs. Randy Orton to the most recent Raw was apparently in response to them losing in the 18-49 demographic.
WWE know Big E is a draw
Big E has been one of the funniest wrestlers on WWE for a while, with his segments being one of the highlights of any show he’s a part of. It seems like WWE finally realized that Big E can be a massive draw for WWE programs. There is a possibility that Big E will bring a lot to the Universe Champion picture booked right. The New Day’s involvement could make this one of the best Universal Championship runs in a while. There is also a possibility to see Roman Reigns Vs. Big E at Survivor Series giving a payoff to that storyline.
It the first good Raw and Smackdown in years
It was a massive surprise that both Raw and Smackdown felt they had a good show with a lot of segments making sense and being enjoyable. There is a possibility that this is all a response to AEW beating them in the Demo. We have seen in the past that WWE is at its best when it’s backed into the corner. This could be that WWE finally agreed to be in trouble and have finally kicked it into full gear, only time will tell, but we may be seeing some good shows in the coming weeks.
