Today is the day that many WWE releases non-compete have run out, and there are coming to some teases on where wrestlers like Braun Stroman and Ruby Riot will end up. Another ex-WWE wrestler who has their non-compete run out is Buddy Murphy, now going by Buddy Murphy.
To celebrate his non-compete, he has sent out a picture on Twitter that he got accused of comparing his time in WWE to slavery due to the image being two hands breaking their shackles. This isn’t hard to find as it seems like Buddy has just googled Freedom images. Since then, he has posted another picture and an apology. The second image is also one of the first images you see when you google freedom.
What Buddy Murphy posted on Twitter
Since then, Buddy Murphy has apologised on Twitter, saying:
“My apologies for the tweet I posted earlier today if it offended you. It wasn’t my intention AT ALL! And FAR from what I intended it to mean! Deleted the tweet. Once again. My apologies!”
It does seem like there is no intent to do this, and Buddy has apologised since. There isn’t much else to go on about this apart from an honest mistake, but maybe have a longer look for your images.
Where will we see Buddy next?
Currently, we don’t have much information on where to go to see Buddy Murphy next. It’s speculated that he will be signing with Impact Wrestling, but there are also many signs that he could end up signing with AEW. This is mostly due to the short videos that are similar to Malakai Black, and most of the wrestlers who have had the short videos after releases do sign with AEW.
This most likely is because AEW production is involved with the videos. It’s also being speculated that Buddy will continue his feud with Black soon.
