After two incredible matches between Dangerous Tekkers & the Los Ingobernables de Japon unit of SANADA & Tetsuya Naito, fans were wondering what was next for the IWGP Tag Team Championships. The division is hotter than we’ve seen it in years, but they still only have a few teams. So tonight, we run the same match back and add in the CHAOS unit of Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI and make it a three way!
Absolute Chaos Before The Bell Even Rings
The only team which hit the ring together was YOSHI-HASHI & Goto, despite being the only team in the match who haven’t held the championships on the line tonight. Everyone was checked by the referee, before we got a debate on who will start the match. Only two men could start the match, with one team having to be on the outside. Goto & YOSHI-HASHI would throw Naito & SANADA out before focusing on the champions.
They’d end with a stalemate, before Goto-HASHI were sent out. Naito & SANADA came in and nailed a Camel Clutch – Dropkick combo on Taichi, before SANADA was taken out by Goto-HASHI. Tekkers would take the ring and nail a double lariat, and the chaos finally slowed down. Taichi and Goto were the last men in the ring, meaning they’re legal.
A Greco Roman Throat Hold was applied, before just turning into a choke. Suddenly everyone would choke Taichi, before stomping out ZSJ. Naito would call for the L.I.J taunt with Goto-HASHI, before being attacked. Taichi would be stomped out in the corner of Goto-HASHI, before Naito would tag in to attack Taichi some. Naito would go after the neck of Taichi, softening up for the Destino, but Goto stomped Taichi free to prevent a tap out.
SANADA got in and put Taichi in the Paradise Lock, freeing him shortly with the big basement dropkick. ZSJ would make the save and was met by Goto who was rolled into the European Clutch, but Naito saved the match. Goto would drop him with the spinning lariat, before ending up in the STF. Taichi got the Stretch Plum on YOSHI-HASHI, and dual submissions aren’t that smart with another team, as L.I.J would show.
Dangerous Tekkers Pick Their Spot
Tekkers would look for Holy Zack Driver, before Goto made the save and chucked ZSJ to the mat. ZSJ would take the Headhunters Leg Sweep, before GYR would be countered. Naito tagged in and attacked Goto before throwing him out of the ring. Naito and Sanada would get a deep pinfall after a backdrop into a jackknife pin, but would only get a two count.
ZSJ was sent off the top rope with a super hurricanrana, before things broke down with Goto & Taichi hitting lariats. Naito hit a neckbreaker and ZSJ nailing a running european uppercut. We’d restore order with Naito & YOSHI-HASHI, Naito taking a big sitout powerbomb before taking the double team from Goto-HASHI for a two count.
Taichi took an Ushigorshi, Goto took a mid kick from ZSJ, who was dropped by YOSHI-HASHI. SANADA would reappear and roll up YOSHIU-HASHI for a two count, before sending him to the outside and hitting a dive. Back in the ring, he’d look for the TKO, before ending up hit with Ushigoroshi from Goto. YOSHI-HASHI hit the Meteora, but only got a two count.
SANADA hit the TKO but Goto made the save, with Naito taking Goto out. ZSJ would go after Naito before being hit with a DDT – Naito kicking off Taichi to take out both members of Tekkers. SANADA would apply the Skull End, but would be rolled up for a two count. Another attempt would get the hold applied fully, but YOSHI-HASHI refused to quit.
SANADA went for the moonsault and Taichi got a tag, before hitting a chokeslam/backdrop combo, but Goto made a save. Naito was isolated by ZSJ, as Taichi hit Black Mephisto ton YOSHI-HASHI to win and retain.
Utter chaos from bell to bell, this match gave exactly what fans were looking for. Dangerous Tekkers showed they were the smartest team here as they picked their spot perfectly to win out. Goto-HASHI really were the workhorses here, and L.I.J remained strong after being moments away from a win. Just a great one from top to bottom. Match Rating: 3.75/5 (*** 3/4)
