At AEW Full Gear we will see The Inner Circle face American Top Team – however only if Sammy Guevara can win the match tonight. He has to defend his TNT Championship against ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page. If he wins, they get the match and to pick the three members of American Top Team who will team with Page & Scorpio Sky. But if he loses?

He is no longer TNT Champion, and has to leave The Inner Circle. It’s heavy stakes, but Guevara is great under pressure. Due to the high stakes, everyone is barred from ringside for this one – making it truly one on one. Last night on Dark, Page & Sky beat Guevara beaten and bloody however, but tonight he’s here to battle.

Sammy Guevara Wastes No Time Getting Started

Guevara would run into the ring and take Page down with a double leg before hitting a big knee strike to send him outside. Page took a second knee strike and a flipping senton, before being thrown into the timekeepers area. The match hadn’t officially started, despite the best efforts of Bryce Remsburg to get them into the ring. Page was run into the barricades, and finally put into the ring for the bell to ring after Page was ready to continue.

Now with the match started, Page would hit some heavy punches to the face before Guevara showed his speed as he lept over Page and nailed a dropkick. He’d barely get a one count as we saw Tony Nese hanging out again in the crowd, Nese makes his debut next week on Dark against Fuego Del Sol.

Page would nail a heavy chop in the corner, before being thrown into a kick to the back and a superkick. Guevara was caught on the top rope, and dropped down onto the top of the turnbuckle with a backbreaker. Page would get some revenge for the earlier brawl on the floor, before taking advantage in the ring with a massive back body drop. An effortless backbreaker would follow, before some heavy forearm strikes.

Ethan Page Nearly Captures Gold In AEW

Guevara would try to fight back, but a knee lift to the midsection and an attempt at Ego’s Edge wouldn’t work. Page would be outsped and kicked in the head before Guevara went high risk with a double jump cutter. Guevara would follow up with the Spanish Fly in the center of the ring, getting a two count.

Page would slip outside and Guevara went up top and came down with a Shooting Star Press to the outside. He was pulling out all the stops, and Guevara tried to lift him for the GTH, only to be nailed with a slam for a two count. Page went up top, but Guevara jumped up to grab an attempt at the Spanish Fly, instead being thrown down with a body slam.

Avalanche Ego’s Edge would be countered into a hurricarana, but he missed a running Shooting Star Press. Page went for a roll up, Guevara countered and got the three count! The fight continued after the bell with Scorpio Sky & Chris Jericho getting into the mix. With all five members of Inner Circle to the ring, Sky & Page were gone.

These are two of the bright young stars that AEW has on offer, and you can see why Guevara is already a champion and why Ethan Page was brought in. They are both main event level talents just waiting to break out. It sold the intense rivalry, and was evenly matched from bell to bell. Once it hit the finishing stretch, it was pure action Match Rating: 3.75/5 (*** 3/4)

Jericho grabbed the microphone, and announced it will be a street fight at Full Gear! Who will Jericho pick from American Top Team? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
