Ruby Soho came into All Elite Wrestling with all the promise in the world. She won the Casino Battle Royale, and would main event the biggest episode of Dynamite yet against Britt Baker. However, she lost that match – and now needs to rebuild. With the TBS Championship coming very soon, Soho is looking to string some wins together, starting tonight with The Bunny.
Ruby Soho Barely Survives The Bunny
Taz singing Ruby Soho before the match made this one 5 stars in it’s own right, but they’d lock up in the ring and prove they could maybe earn that on their own merits. Bunny would be taken down with some deep arm drags from Soho, before blocking a hip toss. She’d look for one of her own, but Soho grabbed the wrist and nailed a knee strike to the face.
The Bunny would come back with a running knee lift of her own – before trapping the head of Soho under a turnbuckle and hitting a dropkick. This did some huge damage to the neck, but a leg trip got Soho a chance to breathe. Soho would go up top, and was yanked down onto her neck again, and Bunny was being relentless. She’d nail a sliding forearm, before choking her on the ropes.
A big comeback would be needed, and a sunset flip got Soho some offense before she was run down with a lariat. Bunny was doing great at keeping this match at her pace, and sending Soho outside and driving her spine first into the barricade would continue this. Soho managed a flatliner on the floor, giving another chance.
Back in the ring, she’d nail Deadly Nightshade in the corner before a running kick to the side of the head. A tight backdrop got a two count, before Soho got caught on the ropes again before taking her down with a German Suplex off the middle rope. Down The Rabbit Hole was countered, and a roll up got Soho a hard fought win.
A solid but simple match from Soho & Bunny, nothing game changing but they got the space and time to tell a good story. Match Rating: 2.5/5 (** 1/2)
