Spider-Man in the MCU has had a rocky ride mostly due to Sony still owning part of the Spider-Man movie rights. They also own a lot of Spider-Man villains like Venom. However, in a deal, Marvel have got the right to include Spider-Man in the MCU but not forever, and the deal could be coming to an end with the next Spider-Man movie considered to be the end of an era. This does ask the question what is next for the web swinger, and will he continue his run in the MCU?
No Way Home is considered the end of a trilogy
It has been said that No Way Home is going to be considered the end of the era, and if Spider-Man comes out the other side, a lot will have changed. Spider-Man’s alter ego was already revealed at the end of the last Spider-Man. However, it looks like, whatever happens in this movie, could have a massive effect on the future of the MCU, even if Spider-Man might not be a part of it.
Could this be the last Spider-Man MCU movie?
It feels like Spider-Man is up in the air if we will see him in future movies after No Way Home. There’s a possibility that Spider-Man could be the next big leader of the MCU, similar to Iron-Man and Captain America.
It is possible that a deal has been made to include the MCU Spider-Man in a future Venom so that Spider-Man can stay in the MCU. However, with how many Spider-Man movies we have seen with different actors, it’s very possible that we could see the next Spider-Man not part of the MCU.
